FLASHBACK: You Lie! Yeller Smeared Strom's Illegit. Daughter Posted: 10 Sep 2009 04:10 PM PDT Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) had to apologize last night after yelling "you lie!" at Obama during his nationally televised health care speech. It's not the first time Wilson's emotions got the best of him and he was forced to apologize. Wilson previously had to apologize to Sen. Strom Thurmond's illegitimate daughter after smearing her for speaking out. |

Demetri Martin's Smartest Moments (Videos) Posted: 10 Sep 2009 02:30 PM PDT Demetri Martin is so smart, he could easily have a really prestigious job like an economist or a physicist or a bank teller. But lucky for us, he's chosen to put his mind into making us laugh. Of course, he also makes us think, so he's a 2-for-1 deal. Anyway, enjoy this collection of brainy Demetri Martin bits. |

Lubuntu: Floats Like a Butterfly, Stings Like a Bee Posted: 10 Sep 2009 02:00 PM PDT Some complain that there is simply too much choice in the free software world and far too many Linux distributions. Well, now there's another called Lubuntu. A derivative of Ubuntu with the LXDE desktop, it's super light and very fast. Finally, there's an Ubuntu perfectly suited to those older, low end machines! |

Ganjapreneurs are cashing in on booming medical pot business Posted: 10 Sep 2009 12:30 PM PDT Colorado voters legalized marijuana for medicinal use in 2000 with the passage of Amendment 20, but until recently, the state's medical marijuana community was small and fairly inconspicuous. As of January, 5,000 people had applied to the state registry, and there were less than two dozen dispensaries selling pot. |
