With October 2010 now completely in, data is now available for almost exactly four years of the Wii and PS3 lifespan (Nov 2006 - Oct 2010) over parts of five years, and almost exactly five years of the X360 lifespan (Nov 2005- Oct 2010) over parts of six years. With that in mind, Vgchartz has decided to construct the history of this set of consoles for software on a publisher and year to year basis. After much experimenting and research, it turns out that in our sellthrough data, approximately 30 publishers have sold at least one million games on Wii, X360, and PS3, and together these publishers account for over 95% of each software market worldwide to date.
