I have dummies that were made with extra wide jaw openings...to suckle her face with slime oozing out of it. And then I had to bury her in 800 pounds of mud." Lohman says is felt more like being on "Survivor." |

Posted: 28 May 2009 02:30 PM PDT For companies that compete with Microsoft, HTML5 is almost the Holy Grail, offering the ability to run applications regardless of the underlying operating system. While the browser isn't more important than operating system today, Google this week firmly suggested it is only a matter of time. We've heard that story before. Java was supposed to... |

Google Holodeck: StreetView In 360 Degrees Posted: 28 May 2009 01:50 PM PDT Google StreetView images are pretty cool, in how you can virtually spin around and see what's on a street in all directions. But far coGoogle StreetView images are pretty cool. But far cooler is a Google StreetView "Holodeck" simulator that Google has at its Mountain View campus. Climb into this, and you get StreetView scenes animated... |

Super Cells that Eat Radiation, Grow Gasoline, Build Cities Posted: 28 May 2009 01:10 PM PDT We believe multi-cellular organization is where it's at, with our mesoderms and our Mercedes, but there are some super-powered single cells which are far more than meets the unaided eye. We might think their mightiest power is confining us to the bathroom after an ill-advised late night snack, but having only one cell to deal with means bacteria |
