Footballer Tackles Opponent With Chainsaw

A footballer who was sent off returned and attacked an opposition player with a chainsaw, a court heard. Anthony Lloyd, 20, was ordered off the park pitch for foul language but returned with the running power tool and tried to chop the hands off rival Paul Westwood while yelling: "I'm a crank."

Grier Graham, vice president of product development, said the company can use a laser to generate about 1.5 watts of power to a solar cell as far away as 10 meters. That's enough to power an electronic speaker or small low-wattage light-emitting diode (LED) lights. It can also charge the battery in a digital picture frame.

Authorities seized a small cache of weapons and ammunition from the New Jersey home of New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, the New York Post and Newsday both reported Wednesday, possibly setting up the embattled player for more legal trouble. The Post said a 9-mm handgun, a rifle and ammunition for three other guns were seized.

Micro-blogging service Twitter is gaining 5,000 to 10,000 new accounts a day and most of its users have joined this year. Internet marketing company HubSpot, in a "State of the Twittersphere" report released on Tuesday, said 70% of the estimated 4 to 5 million people using Twitter have signed up in 2008 and 20 % have joined in the last 60 days.
