Meryl Streep's 'It’s Complicated' Trailer Posted: 08 Aug 2009 06:20 PM PDT From Nancy Meyers, the director of Something's Gotta Give and What Women Want comes Old People F*cking Part 3, aka It's Complicated. I hope it lives up to its name better than Denise Richards' reality show, because in Denise Richards' world, "complicated" seems to mean "hanging out on the f*cking beach drinking wine" a lot. |

Helicopter, small plane collide, crash in Hudson, nine dead Posted: 08 Aug 2009 05:50 PM PDT A midair collision sent a small plane and a tourist helicopter spiraling into the Hudson River on Saturday, as witnesses watched in disbelief. All nine onboard the two aircraft are presumed dead. One victim's body was found in the water off 14th St. following the crash on a clear, sunny afternoon, police sources said. |

'G.I. Joe' Pulls in $22.3M on Friday Posted: 08 Aug 2009 05:20 PM PDT "G.I. Joe" accomplished its mission Friday in posting the highest opening for an August non-sequel with a remarkable $22.3 million. Most of August's biggest openers in recent years, i.e. "The Bourne Ultimatum," and "Rush Hour 2" are sequels. "G.I. Joe" looks to not only be part of that pack, but to own the third highest opening record in August. |

Babe Ruth Back When He Was A Pitcher (PICS) Posted: 08 Aug 2009 03:40 PM PDT Before he was the home run slugging "Great Bambino" Babe Ruth was a pitcher, a very good pitcher. IIn his career "The Babe" went 94-46 with a 2.28 ERA in 163 games. In 1920 Ruth was traded from the Red Sox to the New York Yankees and the rest is history. So let's take a look back at Babe Ruth…the pitcher. |

David Ortiz Apologizes, Says "I Never Used Steroids" Posted: 08 Aug 2009 03:00 PM PDT David Ortiz, less than four hours before the Red Sox were to play in the third game of a four-game series against the Yankees, apologized for being "a distraction" after he was reported to be on the 2003 list of 104 players who allegedly tested positive for performance-enhancing substances. "I'm not here to make excuses or anything," Ortiz said. |

13 Worst Career Moves in Hip-Hop History Posted: 08 Aug 2009 02:50 PM PDT Pesky decisions swarm us daily in life, like a troop of blind killer bees. Most of us just swat them with the slipshod petulance of a dog's tail. But our hip-hop heroes know better, because when it comes to running a career into the ground or digging a hole bigger than the U.S. deficit, no one knows better than rappers. |

'Doctor' particle decides when to release drug payload Posted: 08 Aug 2009 11:10 AM PDT By developing the first drug delivery nanoparticle that is only triggered by the combination of two separate stimuli, Zink has now created a totally new kind of AND logic gate. And his approach is likely to be easier to perfect for clinical use than the logic-based DNA "doctors" some researchers are planning. |
