Air Jordan's son may cost school $3 million over adidas deal Posted: 22 Oct 2009 05:00 PM PDT Michael Jordan's son, Marcus, could cost the University of Central Florida nearly $3 million by insisting on wearing his father's brand of Nikes as a freshman basketball player, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The reason? UCF has an exclusive, multimillion dollar deal with adidas that requires all of its coaches and athletes to use adidas shoes. |

7 Famous People Who Suffered From Disposophobia Posted: 22 Oct 2009 03:50 PM PDT Do you have trouble throwing stuff out? Afraid to let go of that old remote control for the broken TV you've got stored away in the basement just in case you might need it someday? Have trouble giving those old, worn-out shoes over to charity? You might be suffering from disposophobia, sometimes called pathological hoarding. |

Bong water is an illegal drug, Minn. Supreme Court rules Posted: 22 Oct 2009 03:30 PM PDT Time to dump your bong water in case the feds show up at your door. They might think you actually plan to drink it later. According to a split decision by the Minnesota Supreme Court, a person in possession of more than 25 grams of bong water that contains a controlled substance can be prosecuted for a first-degree drug crime. |

Castle On the Ocean Could Paper Craft Get Any Better ??? Posted: 22 Oct 2009 02:50 PM PDT Going through a recent paper craft exhibition in Tokyo. Words alone cannot exactly capture the intensity of Itou's creation. But looking at it, one is left wondering whether paper craft could ever get any better, or whether Itou's work isn't really as good as it can get; in other words 'the ultimate.' |

Weighing the Pros and Cons of Stratospheric Geoengineering Posted: 22 Oct 2009 02:40 PM PDT One of the first cost-benefit analyses of stratospheric geoengineering looks at how military aircraft, weather balloons and artillery shells could be used to cool the planet. The ideas may sound like science fiction, but some researchers are seriously considering what it would take to shoot sun-reflecting aerosols into the atmosphere...... |
