Does McDonald ruling do enough to end race-based disarmament Posted: 02 Jul 2010 04:30 PM PDT Pam Adams points out that while the majority opinion in McDonald v. Chicago congratulated itself on upholding the 14th Amendment intent of preventing disarmament of blacks by groups like the KKK, blacks are STILL disarmed in a discriminatory fashion by laws that demand lifetime gun bans for felons, because the justice system unfairly targets blacks |

Snuggie + Sex = Snuggie Sutra? Posted: 02 Jul 2010 03:50 PM PDT It was bound to happen. Sex is popular. Snuggies are popular. Why not put the two together? What is Snuggie sutra you say? It's sex positions, much like Kama Sutra, except that it incorporates the Snuggie, that loveable, wearable plush blanket with sleeves. Or, as the authors say, "it's an illustrated guide to sexual positions that are both... |
Yasur Volcanic Bombardment vs Amateur Volcano Hunter [PICS] Posted: 02 Jul 2010 03:40 PM PDT An amateur volcano hunter got a close brush with the erupting Yasur volcano and he has the spectacular pictures to prove it. He ventured to the southern Pacific Island and Yasur volcano just as it was starting to boil over. As it erupted, he dodged red-hot lava bombs, ash clouds, and volcanic lightning. |

30 Facts From 30 Games You Don't Already Know Posted: 02 Jul 2010 02:30 PM PDT "Tell us something about your game that people don't already know." That was a question that we asked numerous times during E3 last week. Anything was fair game -- whether a feature was cut or whether someone put in a picture of their dog in a poster within one of the levels. We just wanted trivia... |

First NBA Free Agent Signing: Drew Gooden to Milwaukee Posted: 02 Jul 2010 11:24 AM PDT It's not Lebron James, which is probably the most anticipated signing of the NBA free agent season, but it is a signing, and we'll see more to come, at least among teams with sufficient cap space and money to do so. Drew Gooden is the first player to come to an agreement since free agent season opened. |
Posted: 02 Jul 2010 11:10 AM PDT If you've walked through a department store lately, you may have overwhelmed by the perfume section. Whether you are obsessed with Obsession, a believer in Believe, or consumed by L'Air du Temps, the smell of perfumes and colognes can be overwhelming. The toxic effects of fragrances can also be overwhelming. |

When the doctors say 'there is nothing to be done' Posted: 02 Jul 2010 11:00 AM PDT When doctors use these words with patients who have terminal illnesses, they are saying that curative intent is all that counts. Being honest with a patient and telling them their disease has not responded to treatment, or cannot be cured, is good. However, saying "nothing can be done" is insensitive and untrue. |
